Mahindra Thar Roxx Bookings Opening October 3: Prices, Variants, and Specifications Unveiled

Mahindra & Mahindra has announced that bookings for the eagerly awaited Thar Roxx will begin on October 3, with deliveries set to start from Dussehra on October 12. Following the initial announcement of the starting price on August 14, Mahindra has now detailed the pricing and variants for the new five-door Thar Roxx.

Variants and Pricing:

The Thar Roxx will be available in six trims: MX1, MX3, MX5, AX3L, AX5L, and AX7L, across both petrol and diesel engine options. Here’s a breakdown of the known prices:

Specifications:

The Thar Roxx measures 4,428 mm in length, 1,870 mm in width, and 1,928 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. It features Mahindra’s new M-Glyde platform, which is 18% lighter and offers greater rigidity compared to its predecessor. The SUV is equipped with a double-wishbone front suspension and a Penta-link rear suspension with frequency selective damping.

Off-Road Capabilities:

The Thar Roxx boasts impressive off-road credentials with an approach angle of 41.7 degrees, a departure angle of 36.1 degrees, and a ramp-over angle of 23.9 degrees. It also has a water-wading depth of 650 mm.

Engine Options:

The Thar Roxx offers two engine choices:

  • 2.0-Litre Turbo-Petrol: Available in three states of tune — 150 bhp and 330 Nm (base), 160 bhp and 330 Nm (higher variants), and 174 bhp and 380 Nm (automatic).
  • 2.2-Litre Diesel: Available in two states — 150 bhp and 330 Nm (manual), and 172 bhp and 370 Nm (automatic).

Both engines come with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive is available on MX5, AX5L, and AX7L variants.
